John Flanagan

A decorated Naval Aviator and TOP GUN graduate turned adversary… a real-life mix of Viper and Jester’s characters in the movie… He was first in his class throughout flight school, leading to selection for F-14’s and ultimately Fighter Weapons School. After TOP GUN he returned to his squadron as Pilot and Weapons Training Officer. He then went on to an adversary squadron as an Air Combat Maneuvering Instructor.

He has over 2500 hours in tactical fighters - including F-14’s, A-4’s, and the F-16N - and is now an accomplished Air Racer. He’s acknowledged as one of the finest formation aviators alive. His cool, calm demeanor and lights out stick have led the way on V/SPEED’s most impactful cinema to date.
